An important part of advanced
training in classical ballet is learning repertoire pieces and performing
them for an audience. Richard Gibson and Zory Karah have created Chamberdance
for this purpose. Classical ballet training should prepare the dancer
to perform in a variety of styles and the repertoire is planned with
that in mind.
Since 1990, Chamberdance has performed
dozens of works in venues throughout the Bay Area. All of the young
dancers in Chamberdances performances are dedicated, disciplined
and willing to spend long hours in classes and rehearsals.
Some will go on to careers as professional
dancers and some will not. All will be enriched by their experiences,
as we hope you, the audience, will be.
